Your host
Meet Felipe Camarena.
Felipe Camarena comes from one of the most respected families in tequila. A civil engineer by training, he spent most of his career at La Alteña in Arandas before building his own distillery, El Pandillo, on family land in the Highlands of Jalisco. Today he makes G4 there with his sons, Luis and Alan.
G4 is named for four generations of Camarena tequila makers. It is known for an engineer’s obsession with detail: a mechanical tahona Felipe built himself, nicknamed “Felipenstein,” and collected rainwater used alongside fresh spring water in production. The result is tequila that tastes, unapologetically, like agave.
