El Ateo
What began as “necedad” became a new origin.
Not driven by belief, but by the decision to do things right while it still matters.

In 1953, planting agave in Guanajuato made no sense.
The land was rough.
The region wasn’t known for it.
No one saw the point.
But Don Luis Villalobos did it anyway.
What people called stubbornness…
ended up reshaping an entire region.
Today, that same decision still defines everything that follows.
El Ateo is built on control from start to finish.
From agave grown in Guanajuato to production in Arandas, every step remains in the same hands. Not for efficiency, but for consistency of thought.
Because when the process stays close,
the result stays honest.
